Parchment Blend

Zest-it Parchment BlendZest-it Parchment blend is exactly the same Zest-it Brush cleaner, just in a smaller bottle for ease of use for those requiring small amounts, notably parchment craft artists.
The Parchment blend can be used to blend oil paint or oil pastel on the reverse side of the parchment before embossing.

Apply the paint or pastel to the surface to be coloured, using either kitchen towel or cotton wool buds with a tiny amount of Zest-it Parchment blend on the towel or bud, use a gentle action to move and blend the paint/pastel to the desired finish.
Allow to dry for 12 to 24 hours depending on the amount of paint/pastel and the warmth of the room. Once dry the colour treated area can be embossed, erased or impressed upon.

Zest-it parchment blend used on parchment workZest-it evaporates without leaving any residue, so the velum or
parchment will retain its archival qualities.

Another tip, if you have used glue dots or similar to position extra decoration to the work and now wish to reposition it, use the Zest-it to remove the glue from the surface without leaving any makes, as is often the case if they are removed via a fingernail or knife. Do allow the surface to dry before repositioning the decoration using glue.

If you wish to write on parchment or velum with oil paint, thin the oil paint with a small amount of Zest-it until as thin as ink. Using a Dip pen, load the nib using a brush, with the thinned oil paint and apply. Leave to dry for 12 to 24 hours before handling. If a mistake happens you can use Zest-it to remove the paint from the area, allow to dry before proceeding.
